Neshanic Valley Golf Course
Neshanic Station, NJ
About This Course
The rolling hills of central New Jersey provide an unexpected canvas for strategic golf, where elevation changes of 200 feet create natural amphitheaters around greens that reward precision over power. Architect Hal Purdy carved fairways through mature hardwoods and around natural wetlands, demanding course management on holes where a misplaced approach can tumble 40 yards down steep slopes. The par-4 16th epitomizes the design—a downhill dogleg where the elevated tee shot must thread between trees to set up an uphill approach to a plateau green guarded by Bunker Hill-steep falloffs.
