Wild turkeys patrol the oak-studded fairways while your ball rides the natural contours of this surprisingly hilly terrain just east of Mount Diablo. You'll burn through every club in the bag navigating the constant uphills and downhills, but the reward comes at the par-3 16th, where the tee shot plunges 150 feet down a canyon to a green guarded by ancient valley oaks.
